1998 Honda Accord
On Friday 9/26/03 I purchased a 1998 Honda Accord DX.  All seemed well and I was "assured" that it had been thoroughly checked out but their Mechanics at the dealer.
On Sunday AAA had to be called to jump start the battery.  On Monday after running a couple of errands and leaving the car for 30 minutes it did not start.  Belts ran, Battery was fully charged but AAA was again called and the only answer was to tow it to a mechanic. There after 1 1/2 days of diagnostics they "believe" that it is the alarm which never worked and which three of the salesmen tried but giggled at not getting it to work on the date of purchase.  Now the third day without use of my vehicle is coming up and the cost of all this work and who knows if this problem will recur unexpectedly at the drop of a hat.

I would encourage dealers to train their salesmen to know a little more about the cars which they are selling.  Sales is a good gig BUT usually knowledge of the product is critical is its proper representation.....or am I mistaken.....or is that just "taken"..

Thanks for listening.   Jane
